She is sitting sad and alone with her eyes misted with tears
She was so lost no were to turn
No one wanted to listen to what this little girl had to say but in the shadows
On this day she was being watched
By a silent eye that she did not see
Her friend was never to far from her side
Then she could hear Footsteps
Silent but clear come up to her side
It was her friend so dear
With her big brown eyes…
She looked into the tears
Then she dried them away from her tinny cheek
With just the gentlest lick
With her tail wagging
A true sign of friendship
She sat beside the little girl
And lent her head to her shoulder
Again with another carrying lick
With not a word said her tears did stop
A soft gentle smile
Did come from her heart
Together they sat with no words spoken
There is no need for words
With the trust within a friendships as this
